Obituary of Daniel Curtis Reynolds, Sr.

Daniel Curtis Reynolds Sr., 65, passed away August 08, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born May 25, 1958, in Bethune, SC, he was the son of the late Alethia Missouri Reynolds and Sam DuBose. Mr. Reynolds was a veteran and served in the United States Army from 1977 to 1982. He also was a truck driver for Estes trucking company. Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Gospel Highlights group. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and piano, trucks, and being with his grandchildren.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his son, Daniel Reynolds, Jr. (Jessica); daughters, Danielle Reynolds and LaShonda Oliver; brothers, Patrick Richardson (Patrya) and Anthony Richardson (Toyia); uncle, Alex Dubose; aunt, Hattie DuBose; 16 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Mr. Reynolds was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Bessie Reynolds; and brother, John Richardson.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Reynolds will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff with burial will follow services in the Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Sunday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. August 13, 2023 at Powers Funeral Home.
