Obituary of Martha Ann McLeod Branham

Martha Ann McLeod Branham, 78, passed away, Friday, August 11, 2023. Born March 11, 1945, in Manning, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Jerome Nelson McLeod Sr. and Martha Ann Rawlinson McLeod. Ms. Branham retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield and was a member of Springvale Baptist Church.  She enjoyed sitting on her porch admiring her flowers, caring for her cats, and watching the Braves.  Her greatest passion was being a mother and grandmother.

Ms. Branham is survived by her daughter, Melanie Branham Medlin; sons, Gene Branham (Melissa) and Dean Branham (Rachel); daughter-in-law, Abby Anthony; sister, Florence Sissy Drew; brothers, Frank McLeod and Robert McLeod; grandchildren, Dr. Thomas Gunnar Branham, Dr. Gage Branham (Rose), Tory Lane Branham, Charley-Ann Fields, Griffin Branham, Cadence Newman, Jamie Medlin, Xan Anthony, Emery Branham and Colby Branham; and great-grandchildren, Chloé Clark and Corbyn Clark.  She was predeceased by her son, Lanny Steven Branham, Jr.; brother, Jerome Jerry McLeod, Jr.; and grandson, Chase Wyatt Newman.

A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Branham will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Springvale Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer.
