Obituary of Janie Richardson

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Janie Bell Richardson, 81, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Richardson, wife of the late Thomas Richardson, Sr., passed away on August 13, 2023. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Bossie and Daisy Lewis Curry. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and St. Mark Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, collecting items, going to the flea market and spending time with her family.

     Surviving are her children, Thomas Richardson, Jr., James Richardson, Lesley Adamson, Teeniqua Richardson; siblings, Lou Ella Davis, Louise Estell Futrell, Nancy Martin, Ethel Ann Curry, Mary Lloyd, Theresa Curry, Lizzie Green; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings, Lewis Curry, Inez Council, Grace Curry and James Curry.
