Obituary of Betty Mae Carraway

CAMDEN – Funeral service for Betty Mae Carraway, 76, will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carraway passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Gaskins and Emmie Mae Hayes Gaskins. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, working with her flowers, and spending time with family.

Surviving is her husband, Homer Sylvester Carraway; children, Tim Carraway (Terri) of Lugoff, Dr. Brent Carraway (Dee) of Sumter, April Garner (Mark) of Lavonia, GA, and Jeff Carraway (Chrissy) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Josh Carraway (Mariah), Justin Carraway (Ally), Kayla Cox (Taylor), Brent Carraway (Curtis-Lynne), Brandon Carraway, Cal Garner, Ryan Garner, Garrett Garner, Alex Carraway, and Rylee Carraway; great-grandchildren, Lily Carraway, Faith Carraway, Dallas Carraway, Gray Carraway, Brody Cox, and River Garner; siblings, Herbert Gaskins, Jr. (Velma), Williene Young, Tommy Lee Gaskins, Jennie Watts (George), Wanda Rogers, and Wendy Gaskins.
