Obituary of Linda Ray Farnham

Linda Ray Farnham, 75, of Elgin, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Born in Bakersville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ray Rumfelt and the late Iva Lee Buchanan Hansley and the wife of the late Stephen Michael Farnham. Linda was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed caring for her children and all of their friends. She loved baking, crafting, reading, and exploring her genealogy. She also enjoyed traveling with her family to see the lighthouses along the east coast. Above all, Linda loved making people happy and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Michael Farnham, II, Kimberly Branham (Jack), and Victoria Hurley (Michael); grandchildren, Clayton Mobley, Anastasia Farnham, Andrew Farnham, Brianna Mobley, Gage Mobley, Autumn Rose Johnson, Chloe Johnson, and Kayri Hurley; great-grandchildren, Nathan’el Mobley and Skylar Hutto; siblings, Warren Lee Hansley and Patricia Holifield; her family friend, Kathy Rabon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by her siblings, Lewis Dunbar, Sherman “Buddy” Dunbar, Mary Louise Whaley, and Tommy Holifield; and granddaughter, Cheyenne Mobley.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, officiated by Rev. Gene Brown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am.
