"Macy", our deep and warm condolences to you and your dear Mother's family and friends as you mourn her earthly departure. As well, our prayers are for God’s comfort and peace for you during this difficult time. May your fond and loving memories of Dear Thelma’s love and care for you; her walking energy; her creative decorating; and her other pleasing personae, talents and skills also serve to bring you joy in the days ahead. Having been Dear Thelma’s Columbia, SC neighbors, we enjoyed her joyous, friendly, light-hearted demeanor and her loving encouragement to us as we reared our three sons. She was always kind and always positive. Never mean or negative. Walking and working-out for her health, renovating and decorating her home were among some of her activities that she diligently pursued while living across from us. Ms. Thelma Burroughs was a dear neighbor whom we missed when she moved to Nevada. And we miss her even more now. You are in our prayers, Charlyce & Sherman J. Goodwin

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Ms. Thelma's smile will surely be missed. She could brighten any room with that smile, Any day. She was a great friend. We used to walk around the track while the kids had practice and shared great conversations. We went wine tasting, she enjoyed the Sangria. We also gathered several times at her son's Mason and Sandra's home. It was always nice to spend time together. She was full of life and had the best stories.
