Obituary of Daniel Richard Whitman

ELGIN - A funeral service for Daniel Richard Whitman, 73, will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Center Pentecostal Church, West Columbia, officiated by Rev. Scott Smith. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place on Monday, December 18, 2023 in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, Tenn.

     Mr. Whitman passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Born in Tullahoma, TN, he was a son of the late Samuel W. Whitman and Margaret Ashley Whitman. He loved his pets, the American flag, and writing.

    Surviving are his brothers, Charles Whitman, Michael Whitman, and Phillip Whitman; sisters, Linda Leamon and Sharon Whitman Wood; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Whitman Reynolds.
