Obituary of Kay Potter

Marian “Kay” Jeffcoat Potter, 66, of Bethune, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Marion Douglas Jeffcoat and Shannon Juno Hill Jeffcoat. Kay enjoyed watching Sunday church services online from Fish Hatchery Road Church of God. She also enjoyed traveling to the beach and the mountains while her health would allow. During her later years, her favorite hobbies were talking and playing games on her phone. Above all, Kay loved her family dearly and cherished spending time with them, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Delmar Jay Potter, Jr. (Trisha); daughter, Rebecca Kay Galloway (Ben); grandchildren, Wayne, Douglas, Alina, Marissa, Kendall, Harmony, Joann, Kiah, and Angelica (Sassy); a great-grandchild, Keyana; her siblings, Tony Jeffcoat (Sara), Kathy Atkinson (Shan), Tracy Jeffcoat, Sr., and Terry Jeffcoat (Revonda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other cherished friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 17^th, at the home of Rebecca Galloway, 809 Main Street South, Bethune, SC, 29009.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, officiated by Rev. Brenda Hill.
