Obituary of Benny K. Faulkenberry

CAMDEN - A service to celebrate the life of Benny Keith Faulkenberry, 72, will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Faulkenberry passed away at home on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Manly J. and Susie L. Catoe Faulkenberry. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Limestone University and retired from Dupont and Koch Industries where he was a supervisor. He was a member of Bethel Worship Center.

Mr. Faulkenberry enjoyed playing golf and USC Gamecock Sports. After his retirement, Benny and his wife began cruising and enjoyed over 70 cruises, totaling 460 days at sea. His love for cruising drove him to become a travel agent.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Karen Baggett Faulkenberry; daughter and son-in-law, Chrissy and Jeff Carraway of Lugoff; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Rick Dorn of Jacksonville, Fla.; and grandchildren, Alex Carraway and Rylee Carraway of Lugoff.
