Obituary of Clifford Roy Erickson

SUMTER – Funeral service for Clifford Roy Erickson, 79, will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Geneva, Wisc. 

Mr. Erickson passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Life Care Center of Columbia.  Born in Milwaukee, Wisc., he was the son of the late Clifford and Marion Colby Erickson.  He served in the United States Army.  He was a photographer and enjoyed artwork, playing guitar and singing.  Mr. Erickson also enjoyed writing and wrote “The Spirit of The Cowboy”.

He was a member of the Elks lodge in Santa Maria, California and Florence, S.C., the Vapor Trail Vetts Corvette Club in Santa Maria, California, and the Reel Cowboys in Los Angeles, California.

Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Beverly Hoffman Erickson; son, Nicholas Clifford Erickson (Roberta Rothschild) of Springfield, Va.; step-daughter, Paula Lynn Robinson (Michael) of Sumter; brothers, Greg Jagielski and David Jagielski; and grandchildren, Katie Marie Erickson, Jacob Robinson (Hannah), Christopher Robinson, Travis Robinson and Addison Robinson.
