Obituary of Cleo B Martin

Cleo B. Martin, 88, of Elgin, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Born in Mount Union, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ida McKim Edgin and the wife of the late Henry N. “Marty” Martin. Cleo was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Elgin, SC. When her health allowed, she enjoyed traveling back home to Mount Union and to various Bluegrass festivals. Above all, she cherished gathering with her family and church family and spending time with her loved ones.

Cleo is survived by her children, Sandra Wymer, Troy Miller (Renell), Terri Rhoad (Dusty) and Kirby Miller (MaryLou); as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Cleo was preceded in death by her first husband, Allen L. Miller; her son-in-law, Amos Wymer; and siblings, Harold Edgin, Jim Edgin, Dale Edgin, Elda Edgin, and Genevieve Inch.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Ken Jackson. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
