My deepest condolences to all the Rabon family. Jimmy was a huge influence in my life as a carpenter. I hired on under him when he worked with Harvey Branham and he taught me many skills. He also invited me to join him and his friends on my first time deer hunting. I remember he put me out on the last stand and told me to be ready because the deer were going to come out right where I was. They turned the dogs out at his dad’s garden and sure enough a nice buck came out right on me. Of course I had a huge case of buck fever and didn’t even get my gun up before he turned and was gone. I came to love hunting the rest of my life and never forgot that first day my boss invited me. I also remember a story about his glass eye , a race at Darlington, and a bet with someone. I won’t say who but it was entertaining to say the least.
A great guy that I’ll remember fondly.
