LUGOFF – Funeral service for Michael Jones Hamilton, 58, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton and the Rev. Louie McDonald will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home and other times at the home of Billy and Nancy Jackson, 1395 Springvale Road, Lugoff. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church Building Fund, 1496 Springvale Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mr. Hamilton died on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Born in Greenville, he was the son of Joyce Ann Floyd Brown and the late William Jones Hamilton. He was the owner of M & L of Lugoff. He enjoyed camping, bowling, spending time with family and was an avid Gamecock fan. Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Rhonda Lynn Jackson Hamilton; his mother, Joyce Brown of Lugoff; sons, Nathan Hamilton of Greenville and Michael J. Hamilton, Jr. of the home; daughters, Brittany Hamilton of Greenville, Adria Stallings (David) of Conyers, Ga., Maura Hamilton of Greer, Michaela Branham (Britt) of Lugoff, and Madison Hamilton of the home; brother, William Hamilton of Blue Ridge, S.C.; sister, Margaret Stroud of Greenville, S.C.; and 6 grandchildren.
