It is with great heaviness that I pass on the information that our dear friend and member Sonja Smith has passed away. Sonja has been a member of our guild for many years, she was very active in our night Bee group before her sickness. Sonja had battled cancer and was doing well. It was great to see her with her big smile at our September (maybe November? meeting). Sonja took a turn for the worse in December and hospice was called in. I will always remember Sonjas laugh and smile and her willingness to help others. Please keep her family in your prayers. The loss in our guild these last few months is almost overwhelming. We should never take our friendships and family for granted and let every moment count. I cherish all the times we got together when I came to Lugoff. Loved spending time just talking or her showing me her quilt room and her projects. She loved her grand children so much, as well as my grands as if they were her own! My heart goes out to her family.
