Obituary of Luna P. Clark

CAMDEN– A celebration of life service for Luna Powell Clark, 92, will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Hedgepath will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  

Mrs. Clark, wife of the late Willie L. Clark, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024. Born in Person County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Ozzie and Magdalene Powell. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary and a Former Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed playing Canasta and spending time with her family.

  Surviving are her children, Barry Clark (Peggy) of Raleigh, N.C., Norma Wilson of Bishopville; sisters, Joan Hester (Durwood) of Oxford, Shirley Sneed of Oxford, Gracie Fletcher of Columbia,; grandchildren, Michelle Clark, Justin Wilson, Morgan Powell, and Zackary Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Asher, Jax, Parker, Bella, Liam and Caleb. She was predeceased by sisters, Alice Chambers, Lucille Denney, Janie Carver and Elsie Fitz.
