Obituary of Ruben Jacobs

Ruben Jacobs, 89, of Eastover, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Born in Eastover, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hosie Wages Jacobs and Elease Jacobs. Ruben graduated from Weber High School in Eastover before enlisting and serving his country in the U.S. Navy. He spent his working life as a mechanic. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ruben is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jay M. Conedy, Melissa Yvonne Conedy, Kaden, Mr. and Mrs. Kelby Clay and Erika Jacobs, Dr. Teri Brown, Cynthia Winstead, Mentoria Jacobs; his sister-in-law, Helen Jacobs; his aunt, Dorothy Jacobs of West Virginia; and his special cousin and caregiver, Marilyn Chavis Harris.

In addition to his parents, Ruben was preceded in death by his siblings, Hedy J. Conedy and Sampson “Jake” Jacobs.
