CAMDEN – Funeral service for Ethel Davis Brown, 75, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. Pastor Lorenzo White will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Fathers House Ministries International, 1150 Sessions Road, Elgin, S.C. 29045. Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Born in Due West, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle McAlister Davis. Surviving are her children, Stephen “Steve” Brown of Sumrall, Miss, Tracey Brown (Becky) of Lugoff, Julie Brown Jenkins of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Robert “Marty” Brown (Danyell) of Rocky Mount, N.C.; brother, Don Davis of Iva, S.C.; sister, Evelyn Hughes of Honea Path, S.C.; grandchildren Stephanie Brown, Stevie Brown, Vince Rabon, Gates Whitmer, Brandon Brown, Van Whitmer, and Megan Brown; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Rabon. She was predeceased by a sister, Agnes Libby of Greenwood, S.C.
