Obituary of Geneva Wilson Paul

CASSATT – Funeral service for Geneva Wilson Paul, 84, will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Vincent Earls will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Cassatt Baptist Church.

Mrs. Paul, wife of the late Johnny Paul, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.  Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late James Mark Wilson and Janie Bell Wilson.  She formerly worked at Hard Times café and volunteered at Food For The Soul.   She enjoyed dancing, music, shopping, and had a green thumb  as her plants were a testament to it.

Surviving are her children, Tod Smith (Stacy), Sharon Connell (Jody), Ted Smith and his girlfriend Tiffany, and Timothy Smith; sister, Margaret Reyes (Henry); brother, Louis “Sparky” Wilson (Rachel); 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Mason Smith; brothers, James Wilson, Leonard Wilson, Cleave Wilson and Huey Wilson; sisters, Virginia Brazell and Alma Griffin and daughter-in-law, Tonya Smith.
