Ken Winkie notified me of Joe's passing and I wanted to express my condolences and sadness at his passing. I worked with Joe in Newark for 9 years and attended his retirment party in Philly. I considered Joe a good friend and kept up with his post-retirement life through Ken. That he is with Deb must be a great comfort to all of you.
Thank you, Jan. That is wonderful that you worked with dad at the beginning of his career and was able to celebrate his retirement with him. He and Ken stayed in touch all of these years and his colleagues and friends meant a great deal to him. Thank you for your kind words. We are trying our best, but are trying to reconcile the great loss of our parents.
I worked with Joe in Florence. He was a great agent and friend. We had many phone conversations over the years after we retired. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. RIP Colonel.
Tom- thank you for your kind words. Dad would often speak of you. He enjoyed your calls and keeping in touch. We may have met at his transfer luncheon prior to him going to Philly. Dad had a knack for telling stories and using full names. So your name is very familiar to me. Again, thank you for your kind words and remembrance of our dad. - Ashley
