Obituary of SallieJo Jackson McFarlin

SallieJo Jackson McFarlin, 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born in Flint, Michigan, on June 04, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Harold Jackson and Barbara Stanfield. She was a Machine Operator for Hengst of North America before retiring in 2012. She also volunteered at Scream Acres for the last five years. She was a member of Cassatt Baptist Church in Cassatt, SC. Mrs. McFarlin enjoyed watching the Clemson Tigers, sitting on her porch, haunted houses, playing cards and NASCAR. But above anything else she enjoyed being a mom, grandmother, and great grandmother to her beloved family and spending as much time as she could with them.

Left to cherish her memories is her children, Jamie Harold Jackson (Amy), Amanda Lee Hinson (David) and Stephanie Marie Bowers (Jeremy); brother, Danny Jackson (Pat); half-sister, Gidget Arcand; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, Charles McFarlin; daughter, Lynnette Bowers; and brother, Richard “Rick” Jackson.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Jeff Gordy will officiate.
