Camden – Funeral services for Nelson Rudolph Barnhill, Jr., 65, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Worship Center, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Rudolph Barnhill will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association. Mr. Barnhill passed away July 15, 2014. Born in Johnsonville, he was a son of the late Nelson R. and Myrtis McDaniel Barnhill, Sr. Mr. Barnhill was an avid hunter, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Surviving are his sister, Myrlee Powers (Bubba) of Camden; brothers, Rev. Rudolph Barnhill (Joyce) of Pace, FL, John W. Barnhill (Betty) of Jacksonville, FL, Clyde B. Barnhill (Janie) of Winter Haven, FL; 4 nephews; 4 nieces; and numerous great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces.
