Obituary of Brittany N. Surface

Blythewood – Brittany Nikole Surface, 28, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024. Born in Fayetteville, N.C., she was the daughter of Robert Dee and Bambi Dawn Hicks Surface. 

Brittany received her undergraduate degree from Columbia International University, master’s degree from Columbia International University and a second master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.  Her special attribute was her ability to love.  She shared her love through teaching and creating an atmosphere that was specific to the needs of her students.  She was gifted in working with special needs and helping them learn.  Brittany loved her emotional support dog and best friend, “Remi”.  Her strength came from God who gave her the strength to overcome every obstacle no matter the size.

Surviving are her parents, Robert Dee Surface and Bambi H. Surface of Blythewood; sister, Riley Surface of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and grandmothers, Linda Yenshaw of Conover, N.C. and Virginia Bates of Blythewood.

A service to celebrate Brittany’s life will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Sandhills Community Church.
