Obituary of Shelia Dianne Pierce

ELGIN- A funeral service for Shelia D. Pierce, 74 will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am at Harvest Baptist Church with burial to follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Bill Dulaney will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Pierce passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Born in Galax, VA, she was a daughter of the late Walter H. Newman and Rubye E. Jennings Newman. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Mrs. Pierce enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and loving and serving her Lord.

    Surviving are her husband, William Ray Pierce; sons, Robert Pierce, Sr. (E’Lissa) of Elloree, Michael Pierce (Tanja) of Lugoff; a daughter, Kristina Weems (Brian) of Elgin; sister, Brenda G. Thompson (Kenneth); 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Newman; and 3 great-grandchildren.
