Obituary of Reba Kay Horton

Reba Kay Horton, 60, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born in Lancaster, SC on January 10, 1964, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Lewis and Betty Lou Baker Horton. She enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the birds and drinking her coffee. Mrs. Horton also enjoyed 70s, 80s and old country music, cooking, working in her yard, playing the guitar, reading poetry and her beloved Clemson Tigers.

Left to cherish her memories is her wife of 30 years, Bonnie Rae Ackerman; daughter, Adrian Kayleen Horton (MJ); sister, Wendy LuAnne Burriss (Johnnie); grandchild, Raleigh Rae-Lynne Horton; nieces, Katherine LuAnne Burriss and Samantha LuAnne Burriss; fur-babies, Willie, Waylon, Dixie, Papa Spice, Patsy Cline, and JC; and numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Amanda Lynne Horton; sister, Rhonda Cheryl Horton; brother, William “Bubba” Lewis Horton, Jr and many beloved fur-babies.

The family will receive friends from 6PM-8PM on Saturday September 7, 2024 at the family home at 2035 Jamestown Road, Bishopville, SC, 29010. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
