Obituary of Tony Phil Rabon, Sr.

Tony Phil Rabon, Sr., 69, passed away on Monday, September 02, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born May 31, 1955 in Kershaw County, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur Wallace and Sarah Jane Branham Rabon. Mr. Rabon enjoyed fishing, CB radios, electronics, Star Trek, the Andy Griffin show and going on beach trips with his family. But above all else Mr. Rabon enjoyed being with his grandchildren and family, and especially his trips to Captain D’s with his granddaughter, Kaitlyn.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 42 years, Margie Ann Godbolt Rabon; son, Tony Phil Rabon, Jr. (Lesley); daughter, Ashley Dawn Ray (Billy); brothers, Charles Steve Rabon (Belinda) and Larry Wallace Rabon; sister, Debbie Rabon Bowers (Eddie); grandchildren, Nathan Ray, Tyler Ray, Hannah Ray, Kaitlyn Ray and Emory Rabon; and fur-baby, Pokey.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Dwight Andrew Rabon.

A memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Rabon will be held Thursday, September 05, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Camden, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. David Brannen will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to express a special thanks to MUSC Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
