Obituary of Terry Wayne Robinson

Lugoff – A celebration of life service for Terry Wayne Robinson, 56, will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with inurnment to follow in Fort Jackosn National Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gideon’s International.

     Terry passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Born in Camden, he was son of Nancy Ross Smith and Bobby Lee Smith, and the late Frankie Robinson. Terry graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School where he was a cross-country runner and still holds the record for the fastest time. He served in the U.S. Air Force and then worked as a truck driver. Terry enjoyed talking about philosophy and deep thought and was an avid reader.

     Surviving are his daughter, Taylor D. Robinson (Luke) of Lancaster; and her mother, Lynn Sprole of Rock Hill; his mother, Nancy Ross Smith (Bobby Lee) of Lugoff; sister, Angie Robinson-Thomas (Anthony) of Lugoff; and nieces, Autumn Thomas and Madison Thomas.
