Obituary of Anthony Dion Thomas

Anthony Dion “Fru” Thomas, 57, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Born in Kershaw County, SC on May 4, 1967, he was the son of the late Joseph Elvin and Elease Irene Williams Thomas. He enjoyed fishing, watching the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors, and fixing things on his own, but above all else he loved his family and especially his grandbabies.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Eliza Sarah Gantt; a daughter, Tarra Deone Sumone Powell of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Michael Damarrion Parker of Atlanta, GA, Laila Mykara Parker of Atlanta, Ga, Amarri Kaison Parker of Atlanta, GA, Christopher Kemarri of Atlanta, GA, Kali Azari Parker of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Lawanda Renee Thomas of Camden, Shameiko Lavonne Thomas of Camden; a brother, Joseph Quian Thomas of Camden; two aunts,  Florence Williams, Deborah Williams; uncles, John Williams, and Joseph Wiliams, all of Camden, S.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 2-5 p.m.  at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
