Obituary of Holly Jane Ritter

Holly Jane Ritter, 68, passed away on October 07, 2024. Born on June 15, 1956 in Slatedale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene F. and Florence M. Loch Weiss. Mrs. Ritter obtained her Associates Degree in Accounting at Lehigh Carbon Community College in Pennsylvania. She worked as an Accounting Technician III in the treasury department for many companies before retiring in 2022. She married her husband of 21 years, Scott Allen Ritter in Trexlerton, PA and they resided in Northampton before moving to South Carolina in 2008. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, baking and her beloved cats. She was characterized by those who love her as stubborn; however, she was always trying her best to make everyone around her happy and will be truly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Ronica R. Reeser; brother, Ivan Weiss; sister, Brenda A. Weiss Miller (Barry) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Eugene C. Weiss and Curtis G. Weiss.

A time of gathering will be held for Mrs. Ritter on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC from 1:30 to 2:30 pm, with a private family burial to take place at a later date. The Rev. Todd Horton will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kershaw County Humane Society.
