Obituary of Steven Ralph Christensen

His body finally had enough of the fight it was given and the challenges it endured. The will to live was strong within him, until he could take no more. So, he slipped from the earth to be received in Heaven. Steven Ralph Christensen, age 59, passed away on October 22, 2024 surrounded by family at home.  What will the world look like without him? Who will educate us on Space, Science Fiction or Fishing? Born a Yooper in Ironwood Michigan to Gloria Stella and Ralph Christensen (deceased), Steven spent many of his youthful days exploring both the outdoors and a good science fiction book. An avid Trekkie, Techi and Fisherman, Steven knew his way around the Star Trek Universe, almost any computer program, and a good fishing hole. He was a veteran of the US Airforce and Air National Guard, a former small business owner of Superior iron-Artz and was lastly employed by UW Superior as a Data Base Analyst and Programmer.  He loved constantly learning new things, camping, fishing, traveling, and exploring National Parks with his forever fiancé. Steven loved a good adventure and long road trip. He was a kind, brave and determined man. He was smart, artistic, creative and strong in body and mind.  Steven is survived by his forever fiancé, Deana Edwards, mother, Gloria Stella, sisters, Debra (Bob) Darnell, Donna (Paul) Blake, and Michelle (Ken) Palosaari, brother, Tim Christensen, daughters, Jessica and Crystal, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and his best friend and favorite fishing buddy of 47 years, Mike [Judy] Caruso. Let Steven’s life not be defined by the sadness of how it ended, but by the memories and laughter it left in our hearts and minds.  You lived long and prosper Steven, and now it is time to beam up. See ya.
