Obituary of Jerry Carl Martin

ELGIN- Jerry Carl Martin, 68, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late James Carl Martin and Georgia Louise Shannon Martin. Mr. Martin served in the U.S. Air force. He owned and operated Martin’s Construction and enjoyed woodworking, making walking sticks, gardening, dove hunting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

    Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Martin; daughters, Shannon L. Vaughan (Tim) of Lugoff, Jerrie C. Baker (Matt) of Lugoff; and grandchildren, Emily G. Vaughan, Gage Baker, Dylan Vaughan, Noah Vaughan, and Gavin Vaughan.
