Was blessed to get to know Ed through his son Ryan. He was a joy to talk to and it was clear how much he loved his family. Rest easy knowing how much you enriched the lives of this around you.

That little smile turned into a bigger smile now .
I remember the last time he took my hand and asked me to pray for him,,
but he has made the last trip now and
he may be still sitting at the Master's feet thanking HIM
but im sure he will soon find your Mom
and they will be singing in Heaven"s Choir.
Yes, He was a good man and loved his family
and loved the Lord....
He has gone where the Roses Never Fade...
Love and Prayers to his beautiful daughter and family.
Love, Christine and Larry Branham

We lost a good man yesterday but heaven gained a Saint. I got a million stories I could tell you about my friend Ed Jones. The many talks we had sitting in that swing under that big ole oak tree in his yard while we ate a Highway 55 cheeseburger and tater tots. I always loved it when he’d call and say “hey Jim, you want to go get a cheeseburger and tots”? I’d say how about me picking them up and bringing them over. He’d always say that’s even better. He and I solved all the world problems there under that oak tree. He was not only my friend he was my mentor and teacher. When I was first elected as Chairman of the Deacons at Blaney Baptist church I sought his advice often. He would always find a bible passage that related to my question and explain it in great detail. He’d always say I’ll give you my opinion but you need to pray about this and see what the Lord has to say about this Jim.
I could go on and on about this man but he wouldn’t want that. Let me just say this and that will be it. I’ve never met a more Godly man in my life. He loved the Lord and his family so much. He will be missed by all of us that knew and loved him.
Ed Jones was my friend.
Until we meet again, Rest in Peace brother. I love you.

One day I was helping Ed at Aunt Matt’s house and we had to go into Elgin and purchase a chain for the chain saw. Ed asks, Mike you want a cold drink? I said yes.. Whlie checking out at the register at the BP a conversation begin between Ed and the lady cashier. Ed knowing everyone in Egin didn’t know her. He said looking at her name tag…Susan WID.. I don’t know that name. She says, no sir… we ID . Ed says,,,We I D? Never heard that last name. I was rolling in the floor. Cashier was confused as we left. What a great friendship we had for many years. I will miss you, all the laughter, great times we had.
