Obituary of Anita Y. Parker

Lugoff – A service to celebrate the life of Anita Y. Parker, 39, will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 12:00 pm at The Church In the Lord Jesus Christ, Hartsville, S.C., with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Columbia, SC.  The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.

Anita passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.  Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late N.J. Parker and Linda Ivey Parker. 

Anita enjoyed watching old TV sitcoms (especially Good Times) and listening to music, both country and Gospel. She loved family get-togethers, and dancing. She was a ray of sunshine in our lives and her hugs left everyone feeling uplifted and loved. Her humor was effortless and brightened everyone she encountered.   

Surviving are her sisters; Diane Wright (Alton), Loretta Ratliff, Tammy McMillan (Don), Deborah Parker, Vicki Parker, Angela Parker, Patricia Kile (James), and Kathy Combs; brothers, Roger Parker (Benai), Ronnie Parker (Lillian), Gregory Parker (Yadi), Randolph Parker (Jackeline), James Parker, Jason Parker (Andrea) and Curtis Parker.

 She was predeceased by brothers, David Parker, and Douglas Parker.
