KERSHAW – Funeral Mass for Armando Gonzalez Jr., 23, will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Father John Zimmerman will officiate. The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Armando died Saturday, August 30, 2014. Born in Charlotte, N.C., he was the son of Armando Gonzalez Sr. and Grace Ramirez Gonzalez. He enjoyed soccer. Surviving is his son Leo Armando Gonzalez of Camden; parents, Armando and Grace Gonzalez of Kershaw; sister, Adrianna Gonzalez; brother, Adrian Alec Gonzalez and Able Xavier Gonzalez; maternal grandparents, Rogelio and Maria Ramirez and Paulino Arenas; and paternal grandfather, Jesus Gonzalez.
