Gracie, my dear friend. You came to mind again today as you often times do. We lost touch many years ago and that has always grieved me. We were neighbors in Augusta when we first met. My first born, Daniel called you MawMaw. You and Jack loved him as your own. We shared many happy memories.You held Daniel even when your hands hurt. The pictures and memories will last me a lifetime. Daniel loved you and Jack always. I will miss you until we all meet again.

Maw Maw I love you so very very much and I think about you everyday. I miss you so very much. You were and still are like a mom to me. The summers I spent with you I will hold in my heart forever. I have your picture by my bed it's a picture of me and you. I wish I could have come and seen you more once I got older. Your are so special and precious to me I just wish I could hug you and tell you how much I love you. I hurt so bad from not having you here with us anymore. But I know your in a better place because your with Jesus now. Don't worry about daddy he's ok we both love you dearly. I know you watch over us just like you always have. I just wanted to type this because I feel like I'm writing you and your going to read this and know how very much I love you. You are the greatest grandmother anyone could ever ask for and I was fortunate enough to be your granddaughter. I'm the lucky one because I was loved by you. My Mommy I miss you so very much!! I know that you are better off -- because you are with Jesus and you don't hurt any more. I knew her as Grandma Owensby and she was a very sweet soul. She showed me love and kindness always. I remember her beautiful smile that was always filled with joy, her eyes that twinkled with delight and her laughter of happiness. She always had a kind word and a loving hug when I went to visit her. She was dear to my heart and I am sorry that she is gone. She will be greatly missed. Maw Maw, Grandma, lil Maw Maw, We know you are looking down on us....you wouldn't have it any other way, we know that. We know for sure that you are a lot better off where you are now, but still, we wish you could be here today with us...but we know you can't. We shall never forget the quite manner in which you watch over your children, and grand children. The stead fastness of your guiding ways, and the peaceful manner in which you lived your life. Just having you around...somehow made us feel important. For as long as we dwell on this earth, you will live on in our hearts and you will certainly be among our most cherished memories.
