Obituary of Bill Dickey
LUGOFF – Funeral service for William A. “Bill” Dickey, 65, will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Outreach Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Cameron and the Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. Serving as pallbearers are Donnie Joyner, Dan Joyner, Kyle Dickey, James M. Clyburn, Stephen Mays, Louis Clyburn III, and Scott Moore. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or New Life Christian Outreach Building Fund.
Mr. Dickey went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2014. Born in Brunswick, Ga., he was the son of Nellie Mae Wilson Dickey and the late William Ward Dickey. He retired from F.N. Manufacturing and was a member of New Life Christian Outreach Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Sandra Clyburn Dickey; mother, Nellie Mae Dickey of Columbia; sisters, Deloris Joyner of Camden, Linda Meeks (Preston) of Centralia, Wash., and Sonya Dickey (Beth) of Columbia; brother, Bob Dickey (Kaye) of Lugoff; brothers and sisters-inlaw, Mary Louise Clyburn Mays (Kenny), Susan Clyburn Moore, Louis S. Clyburn Jr. (Sharon), and James L. Clyburn (Linda); 76 nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and great great-nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ricky Dickey; and brothers-in-law, Don Joyner and Robert L., Moore.
