CAMDEN – Funeral services for George Wayne Humphries, 64, will be held Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Richard Cameron will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Christian Outreach Church, 411 Highway 601 S., Lugoff, SC 29078. Mr. Humphries passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. Born in Blaney, he was a son of the late Ruben Kneely and Rena Goff Humphries. Mr. Humphries served in the National Guard for 22 years. He was an avid Carolina Gamecock and Camden Bulldog fan. Surviving are his siblings, Bobby Goff, Phyllis Humphries Davis (Michael) of Camden, David Edward Humphries of Anderson, Myra Humphries Anders (Montie) of Oklahoma City, OK; nephews, Ronnie Goff (Michelle), Robert Goff (Gloria); nieces, Melissa Davis Cash (Michael), Michelle Davis Dowey (Robbie); 5 great nieces and nephews; and 1 great-great nephew. He was predeceased by a brother, Ruben Harold Humphries, Jr.
