ELGIN- Funeral service for Max Franklin Jones, 68, will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Rev. Andy Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Jones died Wednesday, March 19, 2008. Born in Pigeon ForgeTenn., he was a son of Maude Myers Lawson and the late Glenn Jones. He was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and a past member of the Sertoma Club. Surviving are mother of Elgin; fiancée, Vivian P. Jackson of Lugoff; sons, Steven Franklin Jones of Elgin, and William Franklin Jones of Columbia; daughter, Debbie Carroll of Columbia; step son, John Robert Jackson Jr. (Dorothy) of Cassatt; step daughter, Kimberly J. McKay (Rod) of Lugoff; brothers, Robert Jones of Camden, and Kenneth Jones of Lebanon, Pa.; grandchildren, Quade McKay, Haden James, Daniel Garner, Kaleb Jackson, and Erin Jackson; uncle, Roy Myers of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
