Camden- A graveside service for Blanche Evelyn Sanders, 95, will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Steve Lee will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice house. Mrs. Sanders, wife of the late James “Frank” Sanders, passed away January 11, 2015. Born in Chase City, VA, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Alexander and Roxanne Mae Looper Gilreath. Mr. and Mrs. Sanders were one of the founders of Rankin Lake Baptist Church. She was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church and the Wateree Wonders Camping Club. She enjoyed ceramics and sewing. Surviving are her son, James K. “Sandy” Sanders; sister, Ruby Gilreath Black; grandchildren, Misty Sanders, Kris and Adrian Sanders; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Carter, Sydney Carter, Kaylee Sanders, Maya Sanders, and Lilly Jayroe. She was predeceased by sisters, Bonnie Jenkins, Emma Bingham, Ethel Benfield; and brothers, Rufus, Clyde, Walter, Sam, and Bill Gilreath.
