RIDGEWAY – Funeral services for Dorothy Jane Slater Wells, 86, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Mrs. Wells, wife of the late Martin H. Wells, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Born in Woodville, AL, she was a daughter of the late James L. and Nora Morgan Slater. Mrs. Dorothy was a member of the Windsor Lake Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and fishing. Surviving are her children, Linda Groves, Richard Bolton, Marvin Wells, Mark Wells, Melvin Wells; brother, Paul Slater; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by children, Judy Baldwin, Marty Wells, Michael Wells; grandson, Kenneth Baldwin; and siblings, Lucille Walls, J.D. Slater, A.R. Slater, Frank Slater, Thomas Slater, Elam Slater, Charles Slater, and Marie Riddle.
