CAMDEN – Funeral service for Edna Horton Broadway, 89, will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Malvern Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Buster Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 Fair Street, Camden SC 29020. Mrs. Broadway, wife of the late Steve Broadway, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015. Born in McBee, she was the daughter of the late Early and Ida West Horton. She was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family, cooking and sewing. Surviving are her sons, Larry Steve Broadway of Camden, and Steven Brice Broadway; daughters, Barbara Outen (Bruce) of Kershaw and Jeanette Williams (Ronnie) of Camden; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Billy Charles Broadway; brothers, Edward Horton and Floyd Horton; sisters, Mary Edwards and Cora Reese; and 2 grandchildren.
