BETHUNE – Funeral services for Truesdale Wallis “T.W.” Brown, 60, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church, Bethune, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tracy Hinson and Rev. Tracey Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery Fund,1940 Bethune Road, Bethune, SC 29009 or Appalachian Baptist Church, 710 White Sand Road, Greeneville, Tenn. 37743. Mr. Brown died Friday, December 14, 2012. Born in Bishopville, he was the son of the late Truesdale “Tot” and Jeanette Watkins Brown and Harvey and Rudy Watkins. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, and enjoyed golf and walking. He was an avid Gamecock fan. He was a coach for Bethune High School Sports and also coached Harmony Baptist Church Softball Team. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Sandy Tarlton Brown; daughter, LaDonna Brown of Bethune; son, Cody Mitchell of Bethune; grandchildren, Kirsten Brown and Simone Bracey; sister, Diane Drum (Terry) of Union, S.C.; brothers, Lewis Watkins, Don Watkins, and Michael Watkins; mother-in-law, Hazel Tarlton; sister-in-law, Jane Jones (Terry); special friends, Grady Newman, Wayne Boan, J.C. Gardner and Richard Anderson. He was predeceased by brothers, Eugene Watkins and Don Brown; sisters, Lois Geiger and Betty Welch; and father-in-law, Barry Tarlton.
