LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Charlie C. Floyd, 61, will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life of Kershaw County, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, SC 29078. Mr. Floyd passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Joshua and Mildred Driggers Floyd. He worked 40 years for Consolidated System. He was an avid Gamecock and NASCAR fan and enjoyed cooking, grilling and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Janice Ruth Weed Floyd; children, Sheldon Floyd (Faith) of Lugoff, Janica R. Floyd (Shag) of Columbia, and Little Charlie C. Floyd (Kristi) of Lugoff; brothers, Robert Floyd (Jan) of Lugoff and Douglas Floyd (Judi) of Lugoff; sister, Patricia Ballentine (Ronnie) of Blythewood and Barbara Ballentine (Danny) of Blythewood; and grandchildren, Allison Floyd, Bryan Floyd, Adam Worley, Adriana Camara, Will Jackson and Sterling Floyd.
