CAMDEN – Funeral service for Dorothy Mae Robinson West, 86, will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Hermitage Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hermitage Baptist Church Kitchen Fund, 814 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. West, wife of the late William H. West, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Born in Cassatt, she was the daughter of the late Gilliam O. and Fannie Mae Ray Robinson. She retired from DuPont and was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and cutting grass. Surviving are her daughter, Joyce West Moody (Robert “Bob”) of Camden; son, David West (Dale) of Camden; brothers, Bill Robinson and Johnny Robinson; sisters, Marie Robinson Humphries, Emogene Mickle, Betty Lou King, Susie Russ; grandchildren, Robert Leon Moody Jr., Rachael E. Moody Swatek (Dax), William West (Laci), Emily Cameron (Chris), and Erika Anderson (Nathan); and great-grandchildren, Cullen West Moody, Amelia Mae Swatek, Zach Cameron, Josh Cameron, Brodie Horton, Riley Horton, Ryan West, Bryson Howard West, Kinsley Anderson and Kathryn Anderson. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Robinson; and brothers, James Robinson, Ralph Robinson, Gilliam O. Robinson, Jr.
