CAMDEN/SUMTER – Funeral services for Gerald Bryan Holloman, Sr., 73, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Church of God, Camden, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Charles Clanton will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Place at 2825 Carter Rd, Sumter, S.C. 29150. Mr. Holloman passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Charlie H. and Lillie Mae Robertson Holloman. Mr. Holloman was a member of First Baptist Church, Sumter, and of St. Andrew Church of God. He retired from Kershaw County Public Works and was a co-owner of Holloman’s Grocery in Camden. He enjoyed farming. Surviving are his children, Brenda H. Bradley (Brent), Virginia H. “Jenny” Dailey (Allen), Rhonda H. Hall (Phil) and Gerald “Bryan” Holloman, Jr. (Lisa Catoe); grandchildren, Evan (Stephanie), Brittany, and Josh Bradley, Matthew Dailey, Caleb and Camille Hall, and Lillie Joy Holloman; sisters, LeRhea H. Newton and Erin Bryson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Charlie H. Holloman. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Covenant Place and Amedisys Hospice of Sumter for their care of Mr. Holloman.
