LUGOFF – Funeral service for Lawton Lee Dean, 70, will be held on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Dean died on Saturday, May 09, 2015. Born in Dillon County, he was the son of the late John and Mandy Owens Dean. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. Surviving are his wife, Carol Cook Dean; son, Tony Lee Dean (Sheila); daughter, Selena Marie Johnson; step-children, Charles Allen Johnson (Jenny), Timothy Johnson (Shannon), Sonya Johnson (Alonzo), and Tonya Johnson; sister, Annie Ward; 17 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Tommy Lee Dean; grandson, Billy Lee Dean; sister, Sarah Thompson; and brothers, Johnny Dean and Clyde Hyatt.
