BISHOPVILLE- A funeral service for M. Frances Boykin Beasley Lucas, 86, will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Community Bible Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Peacock will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Bible Church. Mrs. Lucas passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Frank D. and Mary Jane Boykin. Mrs. Lucas was a member of Community Bible Church. She enjoyed attending church activities and visiting with friends. Surviving are her husband, Darby Lucas; son, Danny Beasley (Mary) of Lexington; daughter, Kathy West (Roy) of Cassatt; step-daughter, June Pate (Sandy) of Bishopville; brother, David Boykin (Frankie); sisters, Edna Swygert and Myrt Davis; 4 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Dennis Steve Beasley; brother, Floyd Boykin; and sisters, Clara Bell Boykin and Jo Mae Sharpe.
