CAMDEN – Funeral services to celebrate the life of William Lewis Blackmon, 76, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Phillip Gerrald will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Blackmon went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Born on August 16, 1938 in Roanoke, VA, he was a son of the late William and Ola Baker Blackmon. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Camden and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Left to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Shirley Blackmon; sons, Steve Blackmon of Port St. Lucie, FL and Scott Blackmon of Houston, TX; a brother, Jerry Blackmon of Kershaw; and a sister, Annette Caulder of Fort Mill. He was predeceased by his first wife, Beth Rush Blackmon.
