CAMDEN/GOOSE CREEK – Funeral services for Douglas Matthew “Doug” Gordon, 42, will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Malvern Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Buster Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the American Heart Association. Doug passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Born in Jacksonville, N.C., he was a son of the late Lynn and Peggy Craig Gordon. Doug was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Sara Eddings Gordon; special nephews, Eli Smith and Justin Gordon; brothers, Craig Gordon (Cindy) and Art Gordon (Darlene); sisters, Donna Curtis and Rhonda Kelly (Robert); and numerous nephews and nieces.
