CAMDEN – A graveside service for Leroy Burgess Marsh, 96, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in High Hill True Light Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the national Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Marsh passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Mark and Bertha Stokes Marsh. Mr. Marsh served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from Dupont and was a member of Marshalls Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching TV and gardening. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Gladys Elizabeth Marsh; sons, Danny Marsh (Gerri), Glenn Marsh, and Michael Marsh all of Camden; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Marsh of Camden; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Alfred, Thomas, Kenneth and Lewis Marsh; and sisters, Vashtie Clark, Grace Marsh and Mildred Truesdale.
