Blythewood – A celebration of life for Thomas George Hartloff, 71, will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Sandhill Community Church, Columba, S.C. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon’s International. Mr. Hartloff passed away on June 27, 2015. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of the late Marvin Sheldon and Elizabeth Oates Hartloff. Mr. Hartloff was a sports editor for the Journal News. He was a member of Sandhill Community Church and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and the New York Yankees, and a fan of all sports. He enjoyed leading the Children’s Stamp Club and DXing. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, June Christine Martin Hartloff; daughter, Melissa Hafer (Scott) of Blythewood; and grandchildren, Bethany, Samuel and Joshua Erard.
